Rugby Player Has Stroke, Wakes Up Gay

In what is believed to be a medical first, former Rugby player Chris Birch has recovered from a life-threatening stroke with a new sexuality. After the freak accident, Birch regained consciousness with the startling discovery that his sexual orientation has completely changed.

He was engaged to to his girlfriend at the time of the accident.


Chris is the subject of a new BBC documentary which will air tonight.

A few months after moving out of home, the newly single Chris he met his then boyfriend and now fiance Jak Powell. 'I think eventually if (he) hadn't had the stroke it would have happened anyway,' Powell said, citing examples of married men with families realizing they are gay much later in life.
