Stunning Images of Flooded South Australian Desert

The barren desert centre of Australia is alive once again, with flood waters transforming the dry salt pan into an inland sea teeming with life. Massive flood water runoff from Queensland has resulted in Lake Eyre, the lowest point in Australia at 15 metres below sea level, has lead to the once-barren soil again flowing with water.


The inland sea has even reached levels where it is generating income for commercial fisherman. Click the photos to view full size:
