MLB Embraces Mother's Day In Style
Over in the US, as every Mother's Day rolls around so too does one of the best new traditions in baseball, with players and umpires alike wearing pink memorabilia and use pink equipment for one day only (MLB rules ban the use of bats of any colour other than brown, black, red and natural wood normally). After the games, MLB.com auctions off the equipment to collectors with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research.
