Will Genia Changes His Mind; All Of Queensland Rejoices

After the news emerged over the weekend that Will Genia had left the Queensland Reds on a $600,000 contract to the Western Force, most of Queensland had suffered a mild heart attack and declared war on the young Wallabies halfback.

But news broke this morning that Genia had changed his mind and re-signed with the Reds for three years, sending a wave of fist pumps around the state. After the magical run of 2011, which Genia was a critical part of, it seemed only fitting that the young core of the Reds would remain intact for years to come.

The decision to stay put will cost Genia, with the QRU confirming over the weekend they could not match the Force's massive offer.
