Ninemsn is reporting a southern Egyptian man has been discovered to be alive only hours before his funeral in the southern province of Luxor (no, not that Luxor).
Hospital officials pronounced Hamdi Hafexz al-Nubi, 28, dead after he collapsed at work last week. Doctors said he had suffered a likely heart attack, and his relatives accepted the grim news and began to prepare for his burial according to Islamic tradition.
Days later, the family only realised Mr al-Nubi was still alive when a doctor was sent to their house to sign a death certificate.
Understandably, the family didn't cancel the funeral but instead celebrated the miracle of life with all of the guests of the would-be funeral proceedings.
How this still happened in the year 2012, we may never know. Click here to read more.
