Telstra Has Entire Department To Watch You On Facebook

Have you ever had a bad thing or two to say about your phone or internet provider over Facebook? Have you ever read somebody else do that same?

Turns out Telstra probably has too.


According to Chief Executive David Thodey, Telstra has 60 employees sharing the singular task of scrolling social media sites to identify any negative posts about them, their employees or their sub-contracted repair workers.

"If you can get ahead of that and say, 'No, we are here, we'll talk to you,' (there is) enormous change in terms of customer reaction," Thodey says.

Finally, an explanation as to why it takes Telstra so long to answer your call every single time. Just like the rest of us, they are all too busy on Facebook.
